USA Today recently named Russell Simmons one of the “Top 25 Most Influential People of the Past 25 Years,” calling him a “hip-hop pioneer” for his groundbreaking vision that has influenced music, fashion, finance, television and film, as well as the face of modern philanthropy.
Russell chose to incorporate the Hindu seven chakras into his design. The watchfeatures the symbol for the 6th chakra, referred to as the “third eye”,which represents time as well as sanskrit numbers and the word “Atman” (spiritof man) centered on the dial. Seven different color nylon straps, one for eachchakra, ties it all together.
Only 24 numbered watches per designer are being made, celebrating 24 years of Chrysalis.
Remaining watches will be sold exclusively by Ernst Benz this fall, with50% of the proceeds benefiting Chrysalis.
