ABOUT
CHRYSALIS Chrysalis
is the only independent nonprofit organization in Los Angeles
County exclusively dedicated to assisting homeless and
economically disadvantaged men and women to secure and
maintain employment. Since 1984, we have assisted over
30,000 people on the path toward self-sufficiency at three
centers located throughout Los Angeles County where poverty
is most pervasive: downtown Los Angeles (Skid Row), Santa
Monica, and Pacoima in the San Fernando Valley.
TIME FOR A CHANGE COLLECTION As seen in US Weekly, Swiss
watch manufacturer Ernst Benz introduces a limited edition
collection “Time
For Change” benefiting Chrysalis designed by musical
artist, Mary J. Blige, actor, Eric Dane; and hip hop entrepreneur,
Russell Simmons. Each designer has personally collaborated
with Ernst Benz Designer and Managing Director, Leonid
Khankin, on custom crafted design elements to bereflective
of their own style and personality.
The Ernst Benz “Time For Change” Collection
is a numbered series of 24 watches per designer in
honor of Chrysalis’ 24th anniversary.
The collection
was announced, with preliminary drawings unveiled at
the 7th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball on Saturday,
May 31st. The watches will be sold exclusively
by Ernst Benz this Fall with fifty percent of
the proceeds from each watch sold going to Chrysalis.
Retail prices are $19,500 for Mary J. Blige’s design,
$7,500 for Eric Dane’s design, and $5,500 for Russell
Simmons’s design.
